MIET Hosts FICCI FLO National Governing Body
and Member Connect Meet

On May 23 , 2022, MIET played host to the 1
Anniversary Member Connect Meet of FICCI FLO
JK&L. The event was a grand affair, with a host of
distinguished guests in attendance, including Smt.
Jayanti Dalmia Ji (National President of FICCI FLO),
the Presidium & Governing Body Members, Kr. Ritu
Singh (Founding Chairperson of FICCI FLO JK&L),

Celebrated
Engineer’s Day was celebrated at MIET with An
Alumni Interaction Session and Project
Exhibition cum Ideation Competition under the
banner of IEEE and ISTE student chapters
MIET. 25 teams participated to showcase their
Industrial Training based projects & ideas. Dr.
Hanuman Parsad, Dr. Rajinder Tiwari, Mr Arjun
Puri and Mr. Parveen Abrol were the judges at
the event. Students demonstrated their projects
(hardware, software and PLC based) with great
energy and enthusiasm. Prof. Ankur Gupta
Director, MIET and Prof. Ashok Kumar, Dean
Academic Affairs visited the Exhibition. Prof.
Gupta met each team personally & encouraged
the students with his ideas & motivation.
Dr. Renu Gupta (Chairperson MIER) and Ms.
Ruchika Gupta, Joint Director, MIER and Treasurer
FICCI FLO. The meet provided a platform for
members to connect, network, and share ideas, while
also celebrating the achievements and milestones of
the organization over the past year. Over 75 women
entrepreneurs from the region attended the event.

TELECOMM UNICATION
& INFORMATION SOCIETY DAY
Celebrated
MIET celebrated World Telecommunication and
Information Society Day in association with
IEEE Student Branch on May 17, 2022. The
event featured an expert lecture on the theme
of "Digital Technologies for Older Persons and
Healthy Ageing" by Dr. Amitash Ojha, Assistant
Professor of Cognitive Science and Head of the
Humanities and Social Science Department at
IIT Jammu. The lecture focused on the role of
technology in human life and highlighted some
of the key inventions that have had a significant
impact on our daily lives. The workshop was
well- attended and provided valuable insights
into the ways in which technology is changing
the way we live.
