environment for the students. Some of our prominent industry linkages are:
alliances 1. Mitsubishi Factory Automation Lab and Authorized Training Center

The Mitsubishi Electric FA Lab at MIET is the first and exclusive industry-driven center of
excellence in the state of J&K in the domain of industrial automation including
Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), SCADA (Data Acquisition) and Robotic Arm,
MIET is also authorised to provide training on these technologies.
2. Bentley's BIM Advancement Lab
MIET has setup J&Ks first and only BIM (Building Information Management) industry alliances
Advancement Lab in association with Bentley Software, USA. The Lab provides
access and training to students and faculty members to products including
STAADPro, MxRoad, AECOSim, and MicroStation among others.
3. Amazon Web Services (AWS) Academy
MIET is among the first few institutions in India to train students on Amazon Web
Services (AWS) Cloud Computing Architect course. Towards this MIET faculty
members have been trained, certified and accredited as Amazon AWS Instructors by
experts from Amazon. USA.
4. IBM Center of Excellence
The institution signed an MOU with IBM in 2009 to set up the first IBM Software Center
of Excellence in the Northern region. More than 1000 Students have got certification
in RAD, DBMS and IBM Blue Mix since the inception of the IBM Center at MIET.
5. Cisco Networking Academy
A networking academy has been set up at MIET in collaboration with Cisco Inc. to
impart training to students in the area of internet working technologies using latest
routers and switches so as to increase their employability prospects.
6. Dell EMC Academy

MIET in association with EMC Ltd. (now Dell-EMC), has set up an EMC Academy
which imparts training to students on the emerging field of Storage Area Networks
(SANs), Cloud Computing and Big Data. EMC provides the detailed electronic course
content and software simulators for the programs.
7. Microsoft Academic Alliance
The MSDN Academic Alliance enables MIET students and faculty to download all the
legal software from Microsoft, including access to all development took-kits and
platforms, absolutely free of cost for academic purposes.
8. UiPath Robotic Process Automation Academy
MIET has tied-up with UiPath, a US-based MNC offering training and certification to
students on the emerging domain of RPA which aims to build software bots to
automate manual processes.
