and analytics, network management, pervasive learning environment, AI-based solutions
application/license migration and automated software engineering by the faculty at
MIET.
Ÿ 600+ research papers have been published by the faculty out of which 160 have been
included in International Journals and conferences. These papers have appeared in
reputed publications by Springer-Verlag, IEEE, ACM, InderScience, IGI Global, Taylor and
Francis etc. and indexed in Web of Science & Scopus.

Ÿ MIET has received grants over Rs. 2.0 Crore from national bodies such as the AICTE and
DST etc towards specialized projects and creation of high-end research infrastructure such
as Blade-Servers, Spectrum Analyzers, CNC-Lathe Machines, Mobile Computing Devices,
IoT and workstations etc.
Ÿ MIET faculty along with senior faculty from UMKC, USA are involved in publication of the
"International Journal of Next-Generation Computing" a high-quality international journal
in the domain of computer science. It is indexed by Thomson Reuters, Web of Science.
Ÿ MIET consistently organizes International & National Conferences, Research Workshops,
Distinguished lectures, Innovation Workshop, Idea-Fests, Patent-Filing Training & other
activities to reiterate its commitment to promoting research.
Ÿ An industry-grade test-bed for Internet-of-Things has been setup at MIET to promote R&D
in this emerging domain. The test-bed provides hands-on training to the students besides
enabling cutting-edge projects on IoT.
Ÿ Performance Insight 360 - a cloud-based advanced analytics software for academia has
been developed and productized at MIET. This framework allows institutions to manage
quality through quantification of individual, departmental and institutional performance.
Two patents have resulted from the development of this product which is in the process of
being commercialized.
Ÿ MIET has setup the Mitsubishi Factory Automation and Industrial Robotics Lab with high-
end equipment including industrial robotic arm, PLC and SCADA software. This lab is
enabling students to carry out advanced projects on Industry 4.0 domain.
Ÿ MIET Students are actively involved in Research & Development projects such as fake
news checking, AI-based video analysis using GPUs, sentiment analysis on social
networks, recommender systems, cognitive computing using IBM Watson etc.
Ÿ MIET has a Consultancy Cell in place offering professional services to businesses and other
organizations in the domains of software development, IT processes, strategic
