Prof. Ankur Gupta

Director, MIET

Prof. Ankur Gupta, B.E (Hons.) Computer Science, MS Software Systems degrees from BITS, Pilani and Ph.D from the NIT Hamirpur, is the Director at MIET, Jammu. Prior to joining academia, he worked as a Technical Team Lead at Hewlett Packard. He has filed 52 patents, published 75+ research papers and received competitive funding over Rs. 2 Crores. He is recipient of AICTE Career Award for Young Teachers

Dr Veena Kumar, Ph.D.,
Doctorate, Sorbonne, Paris

Dr. Veena Kumar, has extensive experience in teaching, research & faculty training in France, India and the USA. Her distinguished career includes being Prof. and Head, Education Technology, IIT Delhi, Director, PALS, Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. She has been Principal Coordinator of prestigious projects sponsored by the World Bank, the European Commission, the Commonwealth of Learning, Canada, Ministry of Human Resources, India & the British Council. She has trained faculty from India, Korea, China, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Brazil.

Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Kumar

Dean Academic Affairs

Prof. Ashok Kumar has over 23 years of professional experience in industry, academics, research and academic administration. He did his Bachelor’s degree from NIT, Calicut, Kerala; Master of Engineering from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh; and Doctorate from IKG Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar; Fellow of IETE, India and MIEEE. He is Professor and Dean Academic Affairs at MIET Jammu, His research interest areas are Optical Networks, Electronics Product Design, Wireless Sensor Networks and Digital Signal Processing. He has, to his credit, over Sixty-five research papers published in journals of national and international repute. He has two published patent and he is reviewer of many reputed national and international journals. He has also coordinated many national and international conferences.

Dr Ankita Nanda
Associate Professor & Head of Department, MBA.

Dr Ankita Nanda is an Associate Professor & Head of Department, MBA. She has completed her PhD. in marketing in the year 2013 in Marketing from the University of Jammu on the topic “Multidimensional Framework of Impulse buying: A study of Urban Consumers”. Dr Nanda has over 13 years of experience in teaching and is a qualified NET-JRF. Her areas of interest include Consumer Behaviour, Retail management, Entrepreneurship, etc. She has several publications in Journals of National and International Repute. She is also the Official Licensee of the International TEDx Event and has organized several high-end events at the Institute. Dr Nanda is empanelled as an expert trainer for the Regional Training Institute Jammu and has conducted several trainings on Industrial Relations, Stress Management, Discipline, Teamwork etc.

Dr. Surbhi Sharma

Assistant Professor & Head of the Department, ECE

She is an Electronics & Communication Engineering graduate from Jammu University. She completed M.tech in VLSI Design & CAD in 2008 from Thapar University, Patiala. She has done her Ph.D in the field of “Vibration Control of a Smart Structure using Piezoelectric Materials” from UIET, Panjab University Chandigarh. She has more than 13 years of experience in the field of academics. Presently, she is heading the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at MIET. She is a Professional Member of IEEE and life member of ISTE. She has various research publications to her credit of National & International repute. She has been awarded with ISTE, Best Faculty Award and IUCEE, Teaching Learning Award.

Dr. Mansi Gupta

Assistant Professor, UG School of Management

I am an avid learner, a keen observer, and a solution seeker. Ipursued Ph.D.in Marketing fromthe University of Jammu. I have a Master’s in Information Technology Business Management from Symbiosis, Pune and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering from MIET, Jammu. I was the Head of the Department of Management at MBSCET, Jammu and have worked as an Asst. Professor for about 7 years in the field of Management. I possess about 2.5 years of industry experience working as a Global Consultant at Tata Consultancy Services and asa Research Analyst at Oracle Corporation India.

Dr. Sarabdeep Singh

Assistant Professor Electronics and Communication Engineering

Dr. Sarabdeep Singh has received his Ph. D. from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jalandhar, M.Tech in VLSI design from CDAC Mohali, and B.E. in Electronics & Comm. Engg. from MBSCET, Jammu. He served at Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) Landran, Mohali as an Assistant Professor for around 5 years in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. He is presently associated as Assistant Professor with department of ECE, MIET Jammu. He has a number of publications in SCI/Scopus indexed journals. He has been a reviewer of multiple international peer-reviewed journals.

Mr. Muzafar Ahmad Ganie Assistant Professor Department of Civil Engineering

Muzafar Ahmad Ganie is a postgraduate in M.tech, Structural Engineering from Lovely Professional University. He is having more than 3 years of experience as an Assistant professor in Chandigarh Engineering college and MIET, Jammu. He has several publications in International conferences including ACMS in IIT Roorkee and in Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Computer Applications and Management (BVICAM), New Delhi and Scopus indexed journal.

Ms. Gurpreet Kour Sodhi Assistant Professor Department of Electrical Engineering

Ms. Gurpreet Kour Sodhi completed M.Tech from Lovely Professional University, Jalandar. She is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the EE Department of MIET, Jammu. She has a teaching experience of three years and has 15 publications in Scopus/SCI indexed Journals. She strives to create a community of learners that nurtures the growth in a positive and fun environment.

Navin Mani Upadhyay Assistant Professor Department of Computer Science and Engineering

Mr. Navin Mani Upadhyay is a Research Scholar in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. Previously he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Ashoka Institute of Technology & Management, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. He has completed his M.Tech from KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, India and his area of specialization are Information Security, Social Networks, Nature-Inspired Algorithms, and High-Performance Computing. He is a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), and Certified Cyber Security Expert (CCSE).
