Innovation in Action: IEEE YESIST12 Prelims 2025 at MIET Jammu

MIET Jammu successfully hosted the IEEE YESIST12 (Youth Endeavours for Social Innovation using Sustainable Technology) Prelims 2025 on April 30.

We are proud to be among 32 Pilot Institutions from 20 countries selected to organize this prestigious global innovation challenge. The event provided a platform for students and young professionals to present impactful solutions aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Over 50 teams participated across five tracks: Innovation Challenge, Junior Einstein, Maker Fair, WePower, and Special Track. Participants came from leading institutions such as SMVDU, Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Central University of Jammu, Delhi Technical University, and reputed schools.

After a rigorous evaluation, three teams were selected for the Grand Finale in Malaysia:

1st Place: Instant Ideators (MIET)
2nd Place: Code Crusher (CGC)
3rd Place: Team Major (SMVDU)

Cash prizes of ₹10,000, ₹7,000, and ₹5,000 were awarded, along with certificates, mementos, and expert feedback.

The event reinforced MIET’s commitment to nurturing innovation, collaboration, and future-ready talent through global opportunities.
