Model Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET), Jammu, has collaborated with the International Automobile Center of Excellence (IACE) — a joint initiative of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. and the Government of Gujarat — to establish a Center of Excellence in Electric Vehicles (EV).
This landmark initiative aims to strengthen India’s electric mobility ecosystem by offering industry-integrated education, hands-on research, and certified training programs in EV design, manufacturing, and sustainability. The Centre will serve as a hub for innovation and skill development, preparing students for the future of green mobility and intelligent transportation systems.

Specialised Minor Degree Programs in Electric Vehicles
MIET introduces industry-aligned minor degree programs focused on electric vehicle technology, design, and production, helping students gain expertise in one of India’s fastest-growing engineering domains.

The Centre promotes interdisciplinary research in EV technologies, covering battery management systems, charging infrastructure, electric drivetrains, and smart mobility solutions.
