Bio: Dr. Umar Farooq is currently working as an Assistant Professor at MIET Jammu. Prior to
joining MIET, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal. He received his B.Tech. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), J&K in 2012, his M.Tech. degree from Government
Engineering College, Bathinda, Punjab in 2014, and his Ph.D. from NIT Srinagar in 2020. Over the course of his academic career, he served as a faculty at NIT Srinagar, IUST J&K and VNR VJIET Hyderabad. Dr. Umar has published extensively in reputed SCI and Scopus-indexed journals and has been the recipient of various research fellowships including JRF, SRF and postdoctoral awards. He is a member of IEEE, IEI, IAENG and IIETA. His research interests include Antenna design for Next Gen Networks, IoT and WSNs
