Bio: Dr. Amit Kumar is an Assistant Professor of Law with expertise in Constitutional Law, Labour Law, Insurance Law, and Environmental Law. He previously served as a Visiting Faculty at the School of Law, MIET Jammu, for over one and a half years. He holds B.Com., LL.B., LL.M. (Environmental Laws), and Ph.D. in Law degrees from the University of Jammu and has qualified both UGC-NET and J&K SET in Law. He secured First Position in LL.B. and was awarded the University Gold Medal, Justice Bodh Raj Sawhny Memorial Gold Medal, and Advocate Ram Nath Balgotra Cash Prize. His Ph.D. research focuses on wage regulation and labour welfare under the Code on Wages, 2019. He has published research in peer-reviewed journals and actively contributes to legal education through teaching, research, mentoring, and curriculum development.
