Overview
The Governing Body shall be the Chief Executive Authority of the College. The proposals/recommendations of Academic Council and Finance Committee shall be approved by the Governing Body. The Governing Body shall also manage the recruitment of the teaching staff in accordance with the policies laid down by the UGC and State Government/University of Jammu.

Dr. Renu Gupta, M.A (Psychology), M.Ed., Ph.D. is the Chairperson, Model Institute of Education and Research (MIER) Group & former Principal, MIER College of Education. She is dealing with Policy Planning, Administration, Training, Research and Teaching. She has many publications and research papers to her credit. She is a national level trainer for the empowerment of women under UGC and also Director Centre for Women Studies. She is a highly experienced assessor of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Prof. Yasmeen Ashai has been serving as the Director of Colleges for the Higher Education Department in Jammu and Kashmir since August 2021, following her selection by a high-level committee. Dr. Ashai’s leadership continues to influence the academic landscape positively in J&K.

Mr. Kuldeep Khoda is a distinguished former Director General of Jammu & Kashmir Police (2007-2012) and Chief Vigilance Commissioner (2013-2017). With a background in M.Sc. Physics from I.I.T. Delhi, he served in IPS since 1974. He pioneered the Village Defence Scheme and received numerous national and international awards for his exceptional service, including the Webber Seavey Award and the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration.
