Dr. Insha Idrees is an Assistant Professor at The Law School, MIET, Jammu. She specializes in Constitutional Law, International Law and Human Rights. She holds LL.B from the Law School, Jammu University. She has pursued her LL.M from the Central University of Haryana and a Ph.D in Law from the University of Jammu. Her extensive research in the field of law has contributed significantly to the understanding and development of effective strategies against trafficking particularly in Jammu and Kashmir. Her work integrates rigorous legal analysis with practical approaches to advocacy and policy reform. Dr. Insha is committed to advancing justice and human rights through academic research and active participation in international efforts to combat trafficking.
Dr. Insha has earlier been associated with American India Foundation (AIF) as a consultant for work mostly pertains to human trafficking particularly the labour trafficking. Before joining this institution, she has served as an Assistant Professor at KCEF Law college, University of Kashmir. She has published research papers in various Scopus Indexed and UGC Carelisted Journals.
